Suburbs we cover here: Pollak Park, Nuffield, Selection Park, Casseldale
Garage doors, motors and security shutters in Selcourt, covering the established family housing on the southern side of Springs.
What we see in Selcourt
Selcourt is well-kept older suburb with mature gardens and double garages, and what owners here ask for most often after reliability is quiet. A door that wakes the house at six in the morning is usually unbalanced, running on worn rollers or driven by an operator with no soft start — all three are correctable, and none of them require a new door.
The other regular job is bringing a well-built older door up to date rather than throwing it away. If the frame and panels are sound, rebalancing, replacing the hardware and fitting a correctly sized modern operator gives you a door that works like new for a fraction of the replacement cost, and we will say when that is the better option.
Getting on site
Access is easy and the streets are quiet, so we keep them that way — noisy work at reasonable hours and the site cleared before the team leaves. Most Selcourt jobs run in a single visit.
Motors, backup and load shedding
Operators with soft start and stop for quiet running, sized to the finished door weight and with limits set so the door is not driving into the floor. Manual release within reach, and battery backup where there is no side access for a car.
Repairs on any make
Worn rollers, unbalanced doors, torsion springs at end of life, frayed cables and drifting motor limits. Most of the noise complaints we are called to in Selcourt turn out to be rollers and balance rather than the motor.
What it costs
There is no list price, because no two Selcourt openings are the same. What we do give you is an itemised quote — door, motor, installation and any preparation — usually within a working day of the survey, and the figure does not move once work starts.
How soon we can be there
A breakdown in Selcourt gets a technician out around the clock. Servicing and planned replacements are booked to your convenience, and because every door is made to the measured opening, allow a few working days between survey and fitting.
Getting a quote
Message us the opening width and height, or a photo if it is easier. We survey Selcourt free of charge and quote in writing, with the repair option priced alongside the replacement wherever a repair is realistic.

Common questions
Roller doors in Selcourt
Usually worn rollers and an unbalanced door, sometimes an operator with no soft start. All three are repairs rather than replacements. We diagnose on site and price the repair before suggesting anything bigger.
Sometimes it is the better option. If the frame and panels are sound, rebalancing, new hardware and a correctly sized operator gives you a door that works like new for far less than a replacement. We tell you honestly which way we would go.
Same day across Springs for anything that has left a garage or a building unsecured, and around the clock for emergencies. Routine repairs are usually same or next day.
