Suburbs we cover here: Pollak Park, Casseldale, Petersfield, Selcourt
Garage doors, shed and workshop doors and gate motors in Struisbult, covering the larger stands and holdings on the southern edge of Springs.
What we see in Struisbult
Struisbult sits where the suburbs run out and the stands get big. Long driveways, sheds and workshops behind the house, and openings that were built for a tractor or a trailer rather than a car. Those wide spans need the structure checked before anything is specified, because the lintel on a farm shed is rarely designed to carry a shutter box.
Exposure is the second factor. Out here there is nothing between the building and the wind, so a curtain specified without wind loading in mind will bow and jump the guides on the first real gust. We specify guide depth and wind locks for the position rather than pricing off the opening size alone.
Getting on site
Access is easy but distances on a property are longer, so we check at survey how material reaches the opening. On the wide shed doors we plan lifting and bring a temporary closure so a building is not left open to weather while we work.
Motors, backup and load shedding
Wide doors get industrial operators with chain hoist backup, because a curtain that size cannot be moved by hand otherwise. On the house side it is standard rated operators, and battery backup is close to essential — a long driveway with an electric gate and no backup strands you on a quiet road.
Repairs on any make
Bowed curtains and guides worn by wind movement, drive chains, gearboxes, springs and cables on the house doors, and gate racks stripped by grit off a dirt driveway.
What it costs
We price Struisbult work off the survey, not off a size chart. The quote separates the door, the operator and the installation, and if the opening needs repair before a door can be hung, that is priced and shown rather than absorbed and surprised on you.
How soon we can be there
Emergency repairs in Struisbult are attended twenty-four hours a day. Routine repairs are usually same or next day, and a new door takes as long as manufacture takes — normally a few working days from the survey, because it is built to your opening rather than pulled off a shelf.
Getting a quote
A width, a height and a photo of the opening is enough to start. The survey is free across Struisbult and we will tell you plainly whether the door in front of us needs repairing or replacing.

Common questions
Roller doors in Struisbult
Usually, but the structure decides. Shed lintels rarely carry a large-span box, so a steel support is often added first. We survey the structure at quotation and include any steelwork in the price rather than raising it later.
On an exposed Struisbult opening, almost certainly. Without them a wide curtain will bow and jump the guides in a strong gust. We specify guide depth and wind locks for the position at survey.
We cover the whole of Springs including the outlying stands, and travel is priced into the job rather than added as a callout surprise. Surveys are free.
